Bilko was a great pirate. He’s good at stealing, fighting and even maiming. Unfortunately, on board Cargo Freight 7882, none of these skills are needed.
Bilko, like Avian, grew up hearing the constant firing of plasma cannons and the screams of terrified crews, as they abandoned their precious cargo, fleeing for their lives. This sweet music to his ears, was ripped suddenly from him, when he discovered Avian stowing away. As her personal bodyguard, it is his sworn duty to protect her and never question her motives. This is after all the pirate way. To think, is mutiny.
Unfortunately, onboard a cargo ship there are no positions available for someone whose resume includes “thumping your enemies” and “looting without mercy”, so Bilko was forced to take on the position of Ship Manager.
Now instead of batting interdimensional space wasps, or stealing a shipload of treasure, he fights grime and dust, argues with robots and keeps getting thwarted by his greatest nemesis - the daily schedule. Bilko tackles the tedium of his administrative tasks, just as you would expect from a space warrior - loudly, with lots of weapons and an over abundance of rage.
Bilko is only loyal to Avian and merely tolerates the occasional suggestion from Melvin.
