Rank: Pilot

Species: Trollyk

Avian is one of the best pilots in the galaxy; she also happens to be related to one of the most infamous space pirates.

Raised by the most nefarious, villainous, diabolically unscrupulous Space Buccaneer in the Universe - Admiral Skull Crusher, a.k.a Aunt Frannie), Avian was “nurtured” in the ways of piracy and spent most of her formative years pillaging, plundering and thieving. (It turned out, she’s really good at it too).

She didn’t mind being a pirate; the hours were flexible and the pay was good. In fact, her Aunt was grooming her to take over the family business. But, Avian wanted more; she wanted to follow her own path. Maybe she’s more than just a pirate?

It didn't satisfy her passion - the freedom of flying. Unfortunately, her aunt considers flying a “working class occupation” , Avian could only get in front of the controls, while she was Aunty was away, or below decks. Inevitably this could only go on for so long before something snapped. Avian snuck off from Pirate Hole, taking with her a healthy amount of “re-stolen” goods to pursue a career in… anything where she should fly something.

It wasn’t long before she found a young and naive captain in search of a pilot.

The job may be dull, Melvin’s jokes may be lame and she might be on the run from both the Dogmen and the pirates, but at least she gets to fly. And man, can she fly!

Avian may not respect Melvin as a Captain, or agree with pretty much anything he says, but (much to her frustration) she can’t help but like him. His stupid positive attitude is not only contagious, but… pleasant.

She tries to stick to the rules, but it’s not really in her nature ... it’s also not as much fun. As they say, you can take the girl away from space pirates, but you can’t take the space pirate away from the girl.

Her piratey ways can cause as many problems for the crew, as Melvin’s outlandish ideas (Like the time she “accidentally” stole the Blart King’s prized jewels, or when she “mistakenly” smuggled Chaos Monkeys in the ship’s toilet, and then there was that little incident of “playful” mutiny). Despite not having much of a moral compass, she’s trying to learn, which is hard, given Melvin’s trusting nature.

When she’s not at her controls, she’s either scheming or reading her romance novels, both of which she would deny if asked.
